Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi (Persian: شهناز پهلوی , Shahnâz Pahlavi or Šahnāz Pahlavi, born October 27, 1940) is the first child of the late Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and his first wife, Princess Fawzia of Egypt.
A former Princess of Iran, she was born in Tehran but since the Iranian revolution has lived in Switzerland.
Her first marriage was to Ardeshir Zahedi, one time Iranian Foreign Minister and twice Iranian Ambassador to the United States (1957-1964 & 1972-1979). They have one daughter, Princess (styled "Wala Gohar") Zahra Mahnaz (born December 2, 1958).
Shahnaz later married Khosrow Jahanbani in February of 1971. They have one son, Keykhosrow (born 1971) and one daughter, Fawzieh (born 1973).
Shahnaz is the half-sister of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, Princess Farahnaz Pahlavi, the late Prince Ali Reza Pahlavi II, and the late Princess Leila Pahlavi - the four children of the Shah by his third wife, Shahbanou Farah Diba.
Her maternal grandparents were King Fuad I and Queen Nazli Sabri of Egypt; and her paternal grandparents were Reza Shah Pahlavi and Queen Tadj ol-Molouk Ayromlou of Iran. She is also the niece of King Farouk I of Egypt - and thus cousin of the final Egyptian king, Fuad II.
